The 2022 Festival closes, data and research at the center of the event

The seventh edition of the Food Journalism Festival, two days dedicated to information on food trends and the world that revolves around nutrition.

With 121 speakers, 27 panels, 12 laboratories2 off events and a preview the Festival confirmed itself as the most important international event dedicated to food information and communication.

The program represented the trends of the end of the pandemic but also the unknowns dictated by the war in Ukraine with its repercussions on the world food economy. «We wanted to collect data and analysis not only on the media and on how they represent the food universe but also on the orientation of the markets and on the psychology of consumption to help journalists and our entire audience to understand the phenomena in progress. Eight researches presented: from the third edition of the report on the presence of food in the Italian media (with the ranking of journalists who have written the most about food), created with L'Eco della Stampa, to the opinion poll of the Piepoli Institute on the information expectations of citizens ; from the study on consumer orientation by Altroconsumo to the survey on the psychology of consumption of the Catholic University and the sentiment analysis of Crea with the University of Turin.

In the laboratories of experience, the Festival audience was able to explore issues on which journalism will certainly have to confront itself already in the coming months, such as new hybridization technologies.

The appointment is in Turin for the eighth edition from 23 to 25 February 2023.
