The 7th edition of the Festival has been postponed, 31 May and 1 June the new dates 2022

Rinviata l'edizione n.7 del Festival, 31 maggio e 1 giugno le nuove date 2022

Il Food Journalism Festival will take place on Tuesday 31 May and Wednesday 1 June 2022, in Turin, in the spaces of the Lingotto Congress Center.

Given the situation we have decided to move the dates of the seventh edition of the Food Journalism Festival and to confirm the location already used for the beautiful 2020 edition, the one before Covid.

As you know, several events of national importance are planned for spring that also concern food. Further on, the summer period is, by its nature, unsuitable for an event such as the Festival, while the subsequent autumn period promises to be already full of initiatives. We never wanted to overlap with any national manifestation of the food world, a sector to be treated almost as a "common good" within which we should all network more and more.

These of 31 May and 1 June were among the few possible dates, but they are also the dates of the most suitable period to try to outline the new scenarios that we will observe at the autumn recovery.

At the center of the Festival will be the debate on food information after this pandemic, when they will become the usual and structured phenomena that in this new edition we will analyze as trends underway after two and a half years of emergency.

In recent years, the world of food has not stood still. Science has moved, research has moved, the distribution of food and the way we shop is changing. Food information has followed the changes in our way of thinking about health, of thinking about the environment, of thinking about conviviality. We have already glimpsed this post-Covid world in the 2021 edition which took place in September. At the end of May, we will listen to the research, the analyzes, the opinions to understand what the world of food will be that awaits us when the economy will restart and the pandemic will no longer be a topic for journalists but a subject for historians.
