The Festival venue: the Auditorium of the National Library

Compared to the first edition, the Festival of Food Journalism changes location: no longer the Cavallerizza, but the National University Library. A choice mainly due to the fact that the new location has two different rooms, which will both be used to host the meetings simultaneously of the event.

Despite being housed in the National University Library, the two rooms are managed separately and have a private entrance. It is in fact always accessed from piazza Carlo Alberto, but to the right of the library entrance: the civic is the 5 / A.

The main location is theReal auditorium, which is dedicated to Antonio Vivaldi, the great Venetian composer of which the Library holds one of the most precious manuscript collections: about 450 compositions. Inauguration of the 18 September 2015, it is used for both institutional and social events: it hosts conferences, presentations, debates and - as the name suggests - musical meetings and concerts. The space, which thanks to the recent restoration has been improved in acoustics and equipment, has alarge room of over eight hundred square meters able to accommodate 198 people, all seated, to which are added the positions reserved for the public with motor disabilities.

Right next to the main hall it stands another smaller, of about one hundred seats. It will also be used during the Festival for private events dedicated to issues concerning journalism, deontology, trade unions.
