We are a group of journalists, communication workers and professionals in the cultural sector.
Every day in our work we find ourselves addressing food issues and are increasingly aware of the need for an ongoing debate about the quality of information in a field that is so sensitive and that people follow so closely.
As such, we have come to the conclusion that we should no longer confine our discussions uniquely to ourselves.
We thought it could be time to gather our fellow journalists and communicators, by inviting them to meet in Turin to debate, reflect, educate and promote mutual understanding - a recurring opportunity to talk about how we are doing our job, enlarging the debate to new kinds of journalism, to scientific research and the health professions.
Thus the idea of the Festival was born, from the ground up, from passion and a sense of responsibility felt by those who provide information in a country that bases its identity and recognition throughout the world on “food consciousness”.
