Privacy policy

Pursuant to Article 196/03 and after the implementation of EU regulation No 679/2016, accordingly to what is disciplined by Article 13 of the already mentioned European Parliament, we wish to inform you as it follows:

Purpose of processing:

Your personal data are legally treated in accordance with the principle of propriety for the following purposes

  1. to provide you with information regarding the Food Journalism Festival and the Festival Network (whenever you chose to become part of it)
  2. to allow you to be one of the subjects that compose the Food Journalism Festival Network
  3. to provide you with information about side events related with Food Journalism Festival topics, entirely organized by the Pensare Il Cibo Association or by other partner subject of the Festival.

Method of treatment:

The personal data you freely choose to provide will be legally and fairly treated, in the respect of the security and privacy, by the following procedure:

  1. data will be collected through direct interaction with you by means of electronic and automated tools or through the acquisition of lists of public dominion
  2. data will be recorded on our own electronic database. The database will be physically residing on Italian territory
  3. your data might be transmitted to third undertakings identified by Pensare il Cibo as “Processor”, exclusively to allow information transfer management, of which purposes we resend to bullets number 1) and 2).   4. your data will be protected by our security system in order to avoid chance of alteration, loss or unauthorized disclosure.

Legal basis of processing

The legal basis of processing your personal data is based on your free registration to the website www.festivaldelgiornalismoalimentare.it, in order to attend the Festival and to obtain information about its topics.

Mandatory or optional data transfer and result of a possible refusal to answer:

The purpose of your data contribution “to provide you with information about the Food Journalism Festival and the Festival Network (whenever you decided to become part of it)” is mandatory. In case of rejection we will not be able to supply the requested service.

The purpose of your data contribution “to provide you with information regarding side events related with Food Journalism Festival topics, entirely organized by the Pensare Il Cibo Association or by other partner subject of the Festival” is optional. In case of rejection you will not be able to receive information throughout the year.

Communication of third party data:

Your personal data will be treated by the data Processor, by other data Processors appointed by him and by those authorities that are strictly authorized to process data.

Your personal data will be diffused.

Only in case you chose to become part of the Festival Network, on the web site www.festivalgiornalismoalimentare.it, section “Festival Network”, the following data will be published: 1) name and surname; 2) occupation; 3) link to any social media profiles you specified in the Festival Network registration form 4) a brief description you included in the Festival Network registration form

Retention period:

Your data will be preserved for five years from the moment you conferred them. At the end of that period, again it will be asked you the authorisation to process them. In case you do not express it or if you deny the authorisation, your data will be deleted permanently.

Existence of an automated decision-making:

An automated decision-making is not present.

Intention of the processor of personal data:

We will not transfer your personal data to a third country or international organization.

Data Processor:

The data Processor is the “Pensare il Cibo” Association, with registered office in Turin, address via Giuseppe Verdi n. 20, in the form of Legal Representative.

The Processor appointed for feedbacks to the data subject for exercising the rights is Dr. Massimiliano Borgia. You can address him in any time in order to exercise the rights reserved to you, sanctioned in the Article 7, of which the full text is here reported.




Article 7 of Lgs. D. No. 196/2003 and article 15 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 – Right to legibility of personal data and other rights – Data subjects have the right to confirm whether personal data concerning them exists, regardless of whether it has already been recorded. Data subjects also have the right to request the communication of such data in an intelligible form. Data subjects have the right to be informed of: the source of the personal data; the purposes and methods of processing; the logic applied to processing, if it is carried out by electronic means; the identity and details of the data controller, data processors and the designated representative in accordance to art. 5 comma 2; the entities or categories of entity to which the personal data may be communicated and the parties that may be privy to the data in their capacity as designated representatives in the state’s territory, data processors or managers of the processing. Data subjects have the right to: update, rectify, or, when solicited, integrate data; erase, anonymise or block data that has been processed unlawfully, including data which need not be retained for the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently processed; and obtain certification to the effect that the processing operation has been notified (as has the content of the data) to the entities to which the data was communicated or disseminated, in the exception that such processing is deemed unattainable or involves the use of means manifestly disproportionate to the exercised right. The data subject has the right to object to the entire, or part of the, proceedings: for legitimate reasons contingent on the personal data, even if pertinent to the purpose of the collection; to the processing of personal data for the purpose of advertisements and direct sales material or for carrying out market research or commercial communication. In particular, the data subject may at any time request the Data Controller to access personal data and to correct or cancel them or limit their processing or to oppose their processing, in addition to the right to data portability. The data subject has the right to withdraw the consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the treatment based on the consent given prior to the revocation and has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
