Comparing scientific research and journalism: a debate to open to dialogue

Distrust, incomprehension, difficulty in interacting. The worlds of journalism and scientific research they struggle a lot to collaborate, on the one hand due to the complexity of the subject, often set aside by the editorial offices, and, on the other, due to an inability to communicate in the appropriate ways and times. Often, however, they can hide behind articulated scientific research important news, which concern the general public and which seek only the correct way to be communicated.

To create the conditions for a dialogue between the two professions, will try the Festival of Food Journalism with the debate "How agri-food research can make news", scheduled for Friday morning 26 February.

Among the speakers, exponents of the scientific world as Maria Caramelli, of the Istituto Zooprofilattico Piemonte, Liguria, Valle d'Aosta, Maria Lodovica Gullino, Director of Agroinnova (read his interview here) to Laura Gasco, of the University of Turin - Department of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Sciences and representatives of the media as Massimo Agostini, of Agrisole - Sole 24 Ore e Battista Gardoncini, of Tg Leonardo RAI, which will moderate the meeting.
