The Festival seminars? They damage the credits (even arrears) for the training of journalists

access sigef Credits for training granted to Food journalism festival byOrder of journalists could, for many journalists, be decisive for not incurring disciplinary sanctions. The Order has granted 4 credits for the seminar "From the address book to the blog: are we all journalists?", dedicated to the protections for those involved in food information, scheduled for Thursday 23 from 15 to 19 at the National Library of Turin (the location will soon be changed also on the Sigef). The panel is organized in close collaboration with the unitary union of Piedmontese journalists, Associazione Stampa Subalpina, and is supported, like the whole Festival, by the National Federation of the Italian Press. Participation is open, of course, also to journalists who are not members of the union. But the section with the highest number of credits in the Order will be on Friday afternoon, always at the National Library, from 14 to 19 where delivery is expected of 5 credits. The seminar is entitled "For a conscious and responsible journalism. A crucial game is played around food ". Why are these professional training credits so important? Because for journalists, professionals and publicists, who did not make it to achieve 60 (sixty, just like that) educational credits (of which 20 deontological credits) in the three-year period 1 January 2014 - 31 December 2016, in the first months of the 2017 it will still be possible to obtain useful credits for the observance of the formative obligation of the past three years and thus comply with the obligation established by the Regulation for continuing professional training of the National Order of Journalists. The educational events of the Festival thus become an even more important occasion. In this regard, we recall that the Regulation for continuing professional training of journalists it is incorporated as an official state regulation and is published in the Official Bulletin of the Ministry of Justice n. 10 of the 31 May 2016. The 1 article of the Regulation, "Continuing professional training activities", states"Continuous professional training of journalists (FPC) is an obligation established by the 148 / 2011 law, for all those registered on the register (list of Professionals and Publicists)". So there are no exceptions. If 60 credits are not achieved in the three-year period, the indications of theArt. 9 of the same Regulation, "Non-compliance with the educational obligation", which states: "Continuing professional training, in accordance with the 148 / 2011 Law, is an ethical obligation for all active journalists. The regional order verifies the eventual non-fulfillment with the invitation to the journalist to start within three months the formative path that must be completed for the disputed part in the following 90 days. If the non-observance persists, the Regional Council of the Order reports it to the Council of territorial discipline ".
