We are guests at the Superfestival of the XXX Salone del Libro
The could not miss the Festival of Food Journalism at the first edition of Superfestival, the section of the 30esimo Turin Book Fair dedicated to Italian cultural festivals. So, I am 67, representing 18 regions, the Italian cultural festivals who responded to the appeal launched by International Book Show with the project Superfestival with the intention of bringing them together for the first time in Turin from the 18 to the 22 in May, on the occasion of its thirtieth edition, the best of the events that "produce culture" throughout the Peninsula.
A real "festival of festivals", a moment of sharing: a single "common home" to give life to an opportunity for discussion between insiders, organizers, art directors, sponsors, institutions, cultural operators - but at the same time open to general public thanks to a schedule of ad hoc appointments within the overall program of the Salone del Libro. Born from an idea by Gianmario Pilo and Marco Cassini and coordinated by the Ivrea reading festival The Great Invasion, Superfestival offers an original formula for which each partner festival will bring a meeting with a international guest according to its own peculiarities. Come on Dialogues about man (Pistoia) a Pordenonelegge (Pordenone), da Caffeine (Viterbo) al Festival of Economics (Trento), from Festival of the Mind (Sarzana) a Another galaxy (Naples), passing by The Borealis e La Milanesiana (Milan), Women 's Fiction Festival (Matera) e Marina Cafè Black (Cagliari), a geographical itinerary will be created, along the Italian provinces, and cultural, in which multiple disciplines find space and expression, such as economics, literature, science, communication, poetry, travel, food, illustration, history and philosophy. The space occupied by the Superfestival inside the Salone in the 2 pavilion of the Lingotto will be characterized by a wide and welcoming lounge area open to all, with a meeting room dedicated to specific program appointments and a private business room. A place designed to promote meetings and thematic panels for professional figures such as festival art directors, publishers, authors, critics, musicians, journalists, sponsors. In addition, the Show will offer all its publishers and exhibitors the opportunity to interact with the representatives of the Festival involved. The program of the Superfestival provides a series of panels in which the organizers of the different festivals will have the opportunity to exchange views and exchange experiences on topics such as economic sustainability, the impact on the territory, tourism impacts, as well as through thematic focus on the various skills and functions of the "supply chain" ": Authors, organizers, sponsors, volunteers, schools, etc. A real twinning able to put together experiences, creativity and ideas, stimulating the interest and involvement of the organizers even in smaller events, but which, even if they do not include their own events on the calendar, will still be guests of the Superfestival with the possibility of using the meeting space to present oneself and tell oneself both to a professional audience and to the wider public at the Salone. Moreover, thanks to the collaboration with Italiafestival and EFA European Festival Association, the Italian winners of the EFFE label, the quality mark for European cultural festivals that will be announced in Wiesbaden in Germany in May, will also be presented here.
