We are a group of journalists and communication professionals

Every day in our work, we address issues related to food, increasingly realizing how necessary it is to have an ongoing debate about the quality of information in a field that is so sensitive and that people follow so closely.

As a result, we thought that maybe we should go further than simply discussing these issues amongst ourselves. We thought that it was time to gather our fellow journalists and communicators, to invite them to Turin for a regular appointment to meet, debate, reflect, educate and share knowledge - a recurring event during which we could discuss how we are doing our job, enlarging the debate to new kinds of journalism, to scientific research and the health professions.

This is how the idea of the Festival was born, from the ground up, from passion and a sense of responsibility felt by those who provide information in a country that bases its identity and recognition throughout the world on “food consciousness”.

Formally, the cultural Association "Pensare il Cibo" is the entity that runs the Festival. However, the idea was initiated in a larger workspace in via Verdi 20, Turin, where journalists and communication professionals work. Of varied age, these journalists and professionals are in part specialized in food information, and conscientiously question on a daily basis the meaning behind their work and the best way to carry it out.
