With the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta to communicate food safety

Communicate correctly the Food safety is one of the themes on which the first will focus Festival of Food Journalism, with the collaboration of theExperimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta.

Founded in 1913 by the need to set up an experimental station for the fight against infectious cattle diseases in Piedmont and Liguria, the Zooprofilattico Institute aims to provide products and services for defend the health of the citizen, through food safety and the health of the animals that produce them and collaborating with regional, national and European authorities in implementing prevention strategies.

An activity of such importance and delicacy requires a correct and punctual informative process, towards citizens, consumers and institutions, in order to avoid unnecessary alarms and dangerous confusions.

A necessity that the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta has made its own, through a constant communication activity and the planning of meetings on the subject, such as the one organized in recent months, in collaboration with the journalists' union Stampa Subalpina, and aimed at providing more scientific instruments to those who write about food safety.
