The Beehive that says Yes! at the Festival: an example of a food sharing economy
Interesting Turin start-up, engaged in the world of food sharing economy, Italian declination of the Food Assembly, active throughout Europe, the Hive that says Yes! is a partner of Festival of Food Journalism. A useful collaboration to expand your network and create new contacts, as the Administrator explains Eugenio Sapora. "We have an innovative concept, which appeals to all those with whom we interact. The Festival of Food Journalism is, for us, an important occasion. We will have the opportunity to introduce our project to foodbloggers, journalists and professionals who will participate, true ambassadors of the sector ".
The idea, born last year in Turin, and already spread throughout Italy, is ambitious: feeding the culture of social entrepreneurship, developing a positive way of living the economy, re-establishing a decisive contact between consumer and producer, creating a short chain to rediscover the taste of the territory. "We want to create a network of collection and zero-kilometer sales points within the city fabric; the real innovation lies in uniting technological elements, such as a cutting-edge internet platform, the app and the geolocation service, with an ancient idea, but today more than ever in development, like the sharing economy. Thanks to these services, we help and promote the network of producers and consumers ".
Anyone can create a "hive": just arm yourself with good will, find four or five producers, gather about forty members and make the request directly from the website. The start-up team will handle the new one network, supporting it through its own technologies. Every week local producers sell online to consumers. The passage of goods, however, takes place from hand to hand, in a precise physical place, previously agreed upon, which, for an hour a week, is transformed into all effects into a "hive". The act of distribution, therefore, becomes a very important social moment, in which not only do you sell food of strictly local origin, at a low price, "peasant", but you can know each other, propose new ideas, explore the reality of rural world and reconnect with nature.
Sustainability, artisan quality, short supply chain, food as a social glue: all topics that will be addressed during the Festival of Food Journalism and that make L'Alveare che Dice Si !, a natural and spontaneous partner.
