The national union of food journalists at the Festival to talk about quality

To explain what are the objectives of theUNAGA, its president Mimmo Vita quotes a joke: "No more cooks on TV". No, Unaga does not deal with this, on the contrary: "What - says Vita - it's just an old slogan. That I carry with absolute sympathy, for fun, without wanting to offend anyone. But that encompasses a concept: today in food programs we always talk only about the transformation of products, that is, how to cook them. And never of their characteristics, of producers, of quality. And the Unaga tries to protect these aspects ".

Unaga is the national union of journalist associations in the agriculture, food, environment, land, forest, fishing and renewable energy sectors. It has a federative nature and is the group of the FNSI (National Federation of the Italian Press), the journalists' union, specialized on the aforementioned topics. Among the members there are newspaper directors, editor-in-chiefs, press office staff, collaborators of press agencies and more generally communicators, most of them with journalistic professionalism. All connected to each other thanks to Unaga, which carries out training, information and trade union activities, as well as being a point of reference for all those involved in agri-food communication.

Unaga is a partner of Festival of Food Journalism and will be present, in the person of President Mimmo Vita, in the debate on Food safety, scheduled at 14 on Friday 26 February. Explain Life: "I hope that the Festival succeeds well. There was a lack of such a proposal in a country that is the cradle of agribusiness. And it is even more beautiful than it is in Turin, in Piedmont, a region where very important realities like Slow Food and Eataly ".
