The Stresa School will participate again this year in Festival of Food Journalism.That of the 2018 is a special date for the Erminio Maggia Higher Education Institute, at the forefront of the hotel industry: this year marks its 80th anniversary. And, in this important anniversary, the support of the prestigious Institute will not be lacking in organizing the event.
The "Erminio Maggia" Institute in Stresa, lat the first hotel school in Italy, founded in the 1938 in the town on Lake Maggiore, it celebrates with a dense calendar of events, which involves teachers, students, personalities of culture, of the territory and not only, thanks also to the support of the Hospes association, that from over 50 years supports the school and its students. Among the most eagerly awaited events on the calendar of "From 80 generations to the same year!" there are two fundraising gala dinners prepared by star chefs Antonino Cannavacciuolo, owner of the Hotel Villa Crespi Restaurant in Orta San Giulio (two Michelin stars) as well as a judge of Masterchef, and Marco Sacco, owner of the Piccolo Lago restaurant in Mergozzo (two Michelin stars) and creator of the People of the Lake Movement for the protection and enhancement of freshwater fish. The two masters of the kitchen will sign the menus served on the charity evenings of March 26 and April 20 respectively. A further recognition for the eightieth anniversary of the school was the request of the Bocuse d'Or academy to involve students in the management of the Italian selection of the Bocuse d'Or, the world haute cuisine competition, which took place in October 2017. Following the excellent performance the students will be able to participate in the management of the Bocuse d'Or European event, to be held in Turin, the 11 and the 12 June.
