At the Festival also the B2B meetings for those in search of collaborations

A new feature of this third edition is the Business to Business space, reserved for business meetings. This is a space, Thursday 22 February from 14.30 to 17, organized in collaboration with the Masters of taste of the Chamber of Commerce of Turin. Here freelancers and bloggers meet artisans and small food businesses who need to entrust their communication to professionals.

From this activity, with free participation, the Festival does not incur any economic income.

But why should a journalistic festival also host a B2B?

Because the profession of journalist is changing. The majority of journalists, today, are freelancers who are no longer hired by publishers but who sell their collaborations to newspapers but also to customers who need communicators able to reach the public. So freelancers (today the 65% of journalists) together with bloggers, must always look for new jobs. From web magazines to the websites of companies that need not only to offer a showcase of their products but also to communicate "their" news to the outside.

These are works that mix pure journalism with press and PR work.

On this the Festival does not give judgments but "photographs" a situation.

We discuss the deontological aspects of this development of the journalistic profession extensively at the Festival. But to give an extra service to freelancers and bloggers, we have decided to bring together companies that cannot manage their own communication with these professionals.

Logistics

Business to Business meetings will be held in 4 rooms reserved for the purpose in the location of the Festival at the Torino Incontra Congress Center

A person of the Festival staff will be in charge of supervising the smooth running of the initiative;

Times and subdivision of the meetings

3 interviews are scheduled for companies (14,30-15,30 / 15,30-16,30 / 16,30-17)

Each company will be assigned a room for each shift.

Registration is limited: maximum 4 companies (one in each room) for each shift for a total of 10 companies for the entire B2B

  • 4 talks at the same time every 15 minute;
  • minimum 4 communicators for each one-hour shift and 2 for the half-hour one

The maximum number of 16 communicators per hour shift is 8 for the half hour one. So the maximum number of communicators for the entire B2B is 40.

Registration

Registrants' registrations (freelancers or bloggers) at B2B will take place in response to the invitation email received from the Festival and at the Festival reception until 11 on February 22.

More precisely, the communicators must give their adhesion starting from the 16 / 02 by sending an e-mail to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The order of preference of the teachers must be indicated in the email.

Communicators will be included in a schedule of meetings that will be communicated to them and that will also be communicated to companies.

The organization of the Festival is not responsible for the results of the B2B interviews.
