At the inaugural panel of the Festival the demands of the "food" world on politics

Al panel inaugurale del Festival le richieste del mondo "food" alla politica

Food, consumer rights, economic and system-country interests. A debate with multi-faceted social implications is articulated around the food theme, and therefore projected at the center of the political agenda. To develop this debate, there is no better scenario than the Food Journalism Festival, which cannot fail to set itself the goal - of good journalism - of connect citizens with their representatives in the palaces of power.

At the inaugural panel of 22 February, in fact, some of the are expected main stakeholders of the productive world of the food sector and consumers, ready to take their demands to politics. Un occasion to make one's voice heard, moreover in a very hot period from an electoral point of view, considering that there will be just ten days left to vote.

Guests invited to the inaugural event are prestigious. Representatives of Coldiretti, Federalimentare, Coop Italia, the Zooprophylactic Institute Piemonte-Liguria-Valle d'Aosta, Altroconsumo, Slow Food Italy are expected.

Each of these representations of the world of food will have the opportunity to put on the plate the most important questions, to be placed at the top of the agenda of next legislature. An important opportunity, especially because it is public, to make its voice heard by those applying to govern the country, which citizens and consumers are required to give an account of. What will be said at the Festival - including, possibly, the commitments made and the promises made to the trade associations - I will not be forgotten, when the time comes to give the report cards to the next Government.
