Caracciolo, director of Limes, at the panel on food and migration

Caracciolo direttore di Limes, al panel su cibo e migrazioni

To help us understand the relationships between food and migration, Lucio Caracciolo will also be at the Festival. The founder and director of Limes, the reference magazine for geopolitical information, will speak in the panel dedicated to food (lack) and agriculture (impoverished), as triggers of the decision to migrate. Food will also be analyzed in its opposite function, that is, as a facilitator of intercultural relations in the destination countries.

Together with Caracciolo there will be Italo Rizzi director of LVIA-International Association of lay volunteers; Abderrahmane Amajou of Slow Food, moderated by Alessandra Muglia of the Corriere della Sera.

Caracciolo is one of the world's leading scholars of geopolitics, that is, of strategies of influence in areas of the world. To cultivate this passion even better he also founded the Magrogeo company, of which he is president and responsible for geopolitical analysis.

Caracciolo also writes for La Repubblica. He is Professor of Strategic Studies at the Luiss University of Rome and of Geopolitics at the San Raffaele University in Milan and author of numerous publications.

The panel will also talk about the project "The Recipes of the Dialogue. Foods and stories for interculture and integration " that the international cooperation association LVIA proposes in Piedmont with the contribution of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and the collaboration of Slow Food, Renken association, Colibrì cooperative, associations of the African diaspora Panafricando and Asbarl, City of Turin and Piedmont Region.

The project wants to find formulas recipes to get to know each other and interact with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
