The Information Department of Palazzo Chigi sponsors the Festival

Also this year the Department for Information and Publishing of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers has granted patronage to the Food Journalism Festival.

the DIE of Palazzo Chigi reports to the undersecretary Giuseppe Moles. It is the support structure for the President that operates in the functional area relating to the coordination of institutional communication activities, the promotion of support policies for publishing and editorial products, and the coordination of activities aimed at protecting copyright.
The Department, in particular, carries out tasks in the field of:

• institutional communication activities;
• publicity and institutional documentation, information, also through the stipulation of agreements with press and information agencies and with the concessionaire of the public radio and television service;
• provides for direct communication to the public on the activities of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and of the Government;
• takes care of the preliminary investigation for the granting of prizes to culture and for the issue of press passes;
• promotes publishing support policies;
• takes care of the preliminary activities relating to the granting of direct and indirect contributions to publishing companies;
• exercises the functions and duties assigned to the Presidency in matters of copyright and the fight against digital and multimedia piracy;
• performs, in agreement with the other competent Administrations, supervisory tasks on the Italian Society of authors and publishers (SIAE).
