The 'small' territories and the mountain institutions support the Festival

The 'small' territory, with their full of uses, customs and food and wine traditions, alongside the Festival of Food Journalism as a partner. The National Union of Municipalities Community of Mountain Authorities - UNCEM which unites them is the unified national organization, present in every regional reality with its own delegations, which for over 50 years represents the municipalities that are entirely and partially mountainous and the mountain communities.

This territorial reality is in the process of aggregation in the Mountain Unions of Municipalities, in addition to associating various administrations and institutions (provinces, consortia, chambers of commerce) operating in the mountains, for a land area equal to 54% of the national one and in which reside over 10 million inhabitants. From January 2011 UNCEM has started a process of integration with Anci-National Association of Italian Municipalities.

Developing the sustainable energy self-production capacity of the mountain territory through the hydroelectric, wind, biomass and photovoltaic sectors represents the new horizon of the Union, which has been renewed in a "green" key since the XV Congress of Trento in February 2010.
