The Festival of Food Journalism is a meeting place for information and communication professionals

food. But it is also an event open to all citizens interested in the quality of journalism and blogging that treat food in its many forms, starting from the health professions and food safety, to get to the world of research and food companies. The Festival is the home of all those involved in transmitting information to consumers who increasingly ask to be able to exercise their right to choose what they eat in full awareness.
For this reason, the program includes moments of deepening, debate, training: 32 panel for over 130 speakers called to bring their own contribution of knowledge and ideas.
But a Festival is not such if it does not give space to light moments, even playful ones. For this reason, we offer visitors press tours, Saturday press trips where journalists can see places and new things related to food to treasure and use these experiences for when they have to write.
The same is true for off events, moments of celebration but also of deepening and relationship.
And just to create in-depth study and report this fourth edition of the Festival of Food Journalism is enriched by two important innovations, after last year's experimentation: the B2B and the laboratories.
B2B are job opportunities, where freelance journalists and bloggers meet small food companies that need to communicate what they do.
Instead, the laboratories are designed to show how food is made, how its quality is evaluated, how it is controlled if it is safe and "in accordance with": an engaging experience to learn something new about the food universe.
At the Festival we will also give recognition to fellow journalists who have dealt with some issues that are dear to us and that have done so with commitment and perseverance.
Here, the Festival is all this, a true Festival, small in numbers but big in content. A unique event that contributes to making our country the great home of good food and Turin the capital of the cultural debate on how and what we eat.
