Gastronomic excellences and promotion of the territories

Eccellenze gastronomiche e promozione dei territori

Italy, has been repeating it for years now in all sauces, has a priceless food and wine heritage, a heritage that will be the focus of some debates of the 2019 Festival of Food Journalism. Moments of confrontation in which we will try to relate the gastronomic excellences with the activity of promotion of the territories.

Each region can boast products of absolute value, from the wines of the Langhe to the Cinta Senese salami, passing through the buffalo mozzarella from Campania. The list could go on forever and does not exclude any area of the Peninsula. But, as is now well known, having a fortune is only the first step to build a virtuous supply chain. We must then know how to promote it, make it attractive. In short, to build an infrastructure that facilitates tourism and allows wealth to fall on the territories themselves.

To do this, communication strategies have been developed aimed at food and wine tourism, which some territories have set up and which have helped to make them stand out from others. At the Festival, we will talk about it for example on Thursday 21 February in a panel entitled "Communication strategies for food and wine tourism", in which among the speakers figure Roberta Garibaldi, of the University of Bergamo. This is the largest scholar in the sector and will come up with a picture of what our country is doing in this field. For example, some will be taken communication experiences, identifying the strengths that made them successful. A useful starting point for "exporting" the most effective models.
