EIT Food, a European network for the food of the future

EIT Food, una rete europea per il cibo del futuro

"A European network for the food of the future ”. This will be the theme at the center of one of the panels of the next edition of the Festival of Food Journalism. In particular, on the morning of Thursday 21 February will be announced the EIT Food network, a system of knowledge exchange between universities, businesses and consumers.

Because innovation has radically changed the way society approaches food, and the need not only for one clearly emerges greater awareness by all those involved in the supply chain, starting from the consumers themselves, but also from one coordination in facing the challenges of a fast-changing world.

 EIT Food is part of an innovation community and the goal is to connect the various subjects that revolve around food, from producers to research centers to universities. The network is developed in thirteen European countries and working with a consumer-centered approach, seeks to push innovation, entrepreneurs and students in the development of global solutions.

 The main objectives set by Eit Food are various, and go fromimplement consumer confidence al promote healthier eating patterns and an innovative and advanced education system.
