The ESCP Europe business school will be, for the third year, among the protagonists of the Festival of Food Journalism.

This year the important European educational reality will help the Festival to better understand the phenomenon ofwine tourism, especially in its economic implications. Friday 23 February from 12: 30 at 13: 00 ESCP Europe presents "Wine tourism - a new business model for small wine producers", with speakers: prof. Francesco Rattalino, Director of ESCP Europe Turin campus, Magali Canovi, researcher at ESCP Europe e Luca Aimasso, owner of the Agricola Fratelli Aimasso of Diano D'Alba. Moderated by Lisa Bellocchi, Vice President of the European Food and Agriculture Journalists Network.

Building on an academic research project conducted between the 2015 and the 2017 in the Langhe on 28 wine companies, the panel explains how and how much the "wine tourism" has changed the way of operating in the sector on the axes of communication, loyalty and promotion.
"As a farmer, I can say that in today's wine business things have changed a lot," he says Luca Aimasso owner of Cantine Fratelli Aimasso. The evolution of the wine producer inevitably passes through the new means of communication, so that many different attentions are required and new added values take over to go and search ».
«We believe in this Festival and we share its philosophy: food is a genre of essential first necessity, around which culture, science and health are developed. It is the engine of economic dynamism, becoming fashion, entertainment and tourism - says Professor Francesco Rattalino, director of ESCP Europe Torino campus -. Wine tourism is configured as a meeting point between the two areas of specialization on which ESCP Europe bases its connotation in Italy: food & beverage and tourism. We have decided to focus on these two sectors to transfer the Italian model of excellence to Europe, because our country is a global player and has what it takes to find itself a leader also from a managerial point of view ».
