The Festival changes location. This fifth edition will be held at the Lingotto Congress Center, in via Nizza 280 in Turin. Congress Center should not be confused with the adjacent Lingotto Fiere, the adjacent exhibition space where the Book Fair and Terra Madre take place.
The Lingotto Congress Center was created by the former Lingotto car factory which was the large Fiat factory after Corso Dante and before Mirafiori.
It was built with the most classic Taylor factory vertical model (with test track on the roof) by the engineer Mattè Trucco and the architect of the Fiat Bonadè Bottino (that of the "towers" of Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx and Marina di Massa) .
In 1985, Fiat entrusted the architect with the complete renovation of the former factory Renzo Piano which creates the "bubble", the art gallery, the shopping gallery and, precisely, the Congress Center on the ground floor.
The Lingotto, from a peripheral structure, has become, for Turin, the center of culture and major international events: the Congress Center hosts world-class congresses and conventions.
It is served by a large underground parking convenient for those arriving from the ring road and, above all not subject to the times of the Limited Traffic Zone of the city center. It has the Lingotto Railway Station next to it (lines from Rome and Genoa) with the overpass of the Olympic Arch and, above all, has a Metro stop directly opposite: the Lingotto stopIn fact, at the moment it is still the terminus of Line 1 which passes through the High Speed railway stations of Porta Susa and Porta Nuova.
It is therefore a very convenient and well-known location; exactly ten minutes from the center and the main station of Turin in Porta Nuova and 15 from that of Porta Susa. There is also a taxi rank opposite.
The rooms for the conference part of the Festival and the spaces for workshops, lunches and B2B are absolutely modern and suitable for the needs of an event like ours.
