The Festival with food technologists at the Georgofili Academy

Il Festival con i tecnologi alimentari all'Accademia dei Georgofili

The Festival was called to moderate an important seminar, today, Tuesday 22 January at the 14.30, at the headquarters of the Accademia dei Georgofili (Logge degli Uffizi corti, Florence) entitled: “Impact and perception of food technologies. An economic, cultural, professional, historical and social heritage to be valued ".

The meeting is organized, with the Academy, by the National Council of the Order of Food Technologists which is a partner of the Festival.

Our director, Massimiliano Borgia, will moderate.

In the history of Georgofili there is always attention to the transformation and conservation of products: just think of the oil or wine supply chain. Today science and technology have made the professional role of food technologists of fundamental importance, but how much do consumers know about it?

The program includes, as speakers: Francesco Maietta del Censis, Massimo Montanari of the University of Bologna, Claudio Peri of the University of Milan and Luigi Scordamaglia for the Agri Food Cluster.
At the end the Accademia dei Georgofili and the National Council of the Order of Food Technologists will sign a memorandum of understanding for a collaboration that will see them work together in the food system.
