Ferrero launches Nutella biscuit.

La Ferrero lancia il biscotto alla Nutella.

Ferrero launches the Nutella biscuit, the gem that has the ambition to defeat Barilla's Mulino Bianco.
It's called Nutella Biscuits and everyone wonders why it's never been done before.
Such a product could not fail to be launched in style: we are talking about the food operation of the year, organized by the first Italian food company.
The biscuit that everyone will eat at least once will be launched in Milan with a very soclal event, as befits the most famous sweet spread in the world, Nutella, which has kept three generations of Italians company.
Nutella has also survived the recent general attack on its constituent ingredient which gives it consistency and spreadability: palm oil. The campaigns against palm oil and Nutella have not compromised sales: a force that demonstrates the rooting of this Italian identity product.

Here the public can taste Nutella® Biscuits in advance and experience a technological and engaging experience. The emotions aroused by the tasting will be detected and will contribute to feeding a counter that has the shape of the heart of Nutella® Biscuits. The counter will be fed also thanks to the participation of online users through social interactions, visits to the Nutella site, the Search on Google related to Nutella Biscuits. Nutella® Biscuits will be the first cookie launched together with people: all users will be able to actively participate and become Ferrero ambassadors to support the arrival of Nutella® Biscuits in Italy. At the end of the event in Milan we will be able to read on the counter how great the involvement of people, both at Casa Nutella and online, will have been in the days before
the arrival of Nutella Biscuits on shelves throughout Italy. This will help people spread the word that Nutella Biscuits is coming.
Furthermore, in 4 and November 5 days around 1.000 Ferrero employees will reach, as Ambassadors, over 4.000 points of sale throughout Italy to present and let thousands of families taste the news, sharing with them the enthusiasm and pride of presenting it in first person as is typical of the Ferrero tradition.
Nutella® Biscuits are produced in Italy, in the Balvano plant: a small Lucan center in the province of Potenza, located a few kilometers from the heart of the Alburni Mountains and at an altitude of about eight hundred meters above sea level, is the site of the plant Ferrero further south of the country, where you can breathe the scent of the traditional oven. A very special establishment, which for more than 30 years has dedicated itself to the production of baked products with care and attention to make them land in Italian homes: from dough to leavening, from cooking to packaging, always respecting the pastry tradition.
Here for Nutella Biscuits a special production line was created at the highest level of complexity and artificial intelligence, in this regard Alessandro d'Este (Managing Director of Ferrero Commerciale Italia srl) comments: “The Group has invested in building a line from scratch production entirely dedicated to the production of Nutella Biscuits, an investment of over 120 million. This testifies our desire not only to create excellent products, more and more innovative, but also to create value in our country, for the induced, for the territory and for people. We in line with the Ferrero values and especially with the teaching of Michele Ferrero, we designed and built the line thanks to our engineering division to make sure that our production process was unique. We know that realizing distinctive production processes allows us to create products that are just as unique and inimitable. We have created a highly technological and avant-garde line characterized by a high level of complexity and a futuristic artificial intelligence system, which includes for example 18 vision systems installed, which guarantee a capillary system of product quality control. But it is also characterized by having the largest "picker island" in the world, with over 40 pickers, 7 robots and about 200 engines. It weighs as much as a Boing 747 and it took 8 months to edit. A marvel of technology. "
The assembly of the biscuit is guaranteed by a synchronization process to the millimeter, which minimizes errors. It was necessary to apply uncommon tools and methodologies to allow the perfect coupling of the biscuits.
