The Presidency of the Council of Ministers, with the Department for Information and Publishing, has granted patronage for the sixth edition of the Food Journalism Festival to be held in Turin on 23, 24 and 25 September 2021.
Die deals with all issues related to the world of information with the mission of promoting pluralism and access to the media. The Presidency of the Council is looking to achieve a reform of the media world that overcomes the old welfare logic of the law on press subsidies for a new system that favors the inclusion of young people in journalism, the quality of information, cross-media , access to certified information on the Net and the fight against fake news.
In 2019, during the fourth edition, the Festival hosted a panel of discussion between the Undersecretary for Information and Publishing Vito Crimi and the Order of Journalists where the Undersecretary had launched the General States of Information, a long listening path a few months which then ended with a reform proposal opposed by the Order and Union of Journalists.
During the fifth edition of the Festival, on 21 February 2020, the new undersecretary, Andrea Martella, had sent a message underlining the need to improve the quality and pluralism of information.
