Piedmont, an agromafie Observatory led by Caselli

Piemonte, un Osservatorio agromafie guidato da Caselli
Piedmont will have an Observatory on legality in the food supply chains and will be chaired by Gian Carlo Caselli.

This was announced by the new president of the Region Alberto Cirio La Coldiretti Piedmont at the conference Fruit and legality - Operation truth, organized in Turin by Coldiretti.
Other Coldiretti proposals have also been accepted, including the promotion of fruit consumption in schools.
The president was also attended by Cirio, president of the Scientific Committee of the Agromafie Observatory, Giancarlo Caselli, along with Coldiretti Piemonte president Roberto Moncalvo, moderated by Massimiliano Borgia, director of the Food Journalism Festival of which Coldiretti is a partner.
Alberto Cirio, declared that "We will quickly create a regional Observatory on prices and dynamics of the fruit supply chain, which, in collaboration with the Scientific Committee of the Agromafie Observatory, chaired by Gian Carlo Caselli, can implement a project concrete in order to check that all the actors do their job. We will invest in communication by promoting quality and food safety, also through initiatives that involve schools and public catering so that quality can be perceived by those who buy: to appreciate it, it is essential to first know the local products. We will work on a Rural Development Plan that can reward companies that commit to using truly Piedmontese products and that remunerate farmers with prices higher than production costs.
