The Festival was called to participate in the 3 days: Milk is good! nas part of the national program "Milk in schools", which is promoted in Turin by the Chamber of Commerce of Turin and its Chemical Laboratory.
"Milk is good!" will take place through a conference on 3 May and two days of promotion (18 and 19 May) of this food.
To make milk and its properties known, especially to younger generations, the 3st May will be held at the Centro Congressi Torino Incontra il convention "Milk is good: safety and quality guarantees”Which will be moderated by the Festival's director, Massimiliano Borgia.
The goal is to start a food education program on the subject, making those who work with milk talk to us: producers, companies, associations and nutritionists. Thanks to the correct consumption of milk and its derivative products, useful information will be provided, supported by scientific bases, on its importance for health, on safety and quality guarantees.
Moderated by food journalist Massimiliano Borgia, the meeting will discuss nutritional and health aspects, food safety, how to read a label and how incorrect information on the consumption of products in the supply chain produces negative effects on the local economy . It will conclude with testimonies of various initiatives for the valorisation of milk in the Piedmont area, which support one of the most important production sectors in Italy, and with a round table of trade associations on the strengths and weaknesses of the sector.

Milk and its derivatives will also be discussed practically in the "Latte Days"The 18 Friday afternoon and 19 Saturday in May 2018, also in the Torino Incontra Congress Center. Here institutions, associations eproducers (including some Masters of Taste and companies adhering to the Torino Cheese project) will have the opportunity to tell their work, let children and parents taste the products and organize workshops, to understand how milk can be transformed into other foods, which it is the path to become an educational farm or to explain the grass cycle and the importance of grazing for quality milk.
Registration for the workshops can be done directly during the visit.
The seminar and the two days of "Latte Days" are part of the program "Milk is good! ”, Intended primarily for primary school pupils and their parents, since the main intent is to promote correct consumption and awareness of milk as a child.
