Turin, the solidarity of the Festival at the Hotel Maggia in Stresa at risk of closure

Torino, la solidarietà del Festival all'alberghiero Maggia di Stresa a rischio chiusura

The Hospes association that supports the activities of the Maggia hotel institute in Stresa (VB), which has always been a partner of the Festival, presented its online magazine (or e-book). The morning was also an opportunity to demonstrate by the Festival's director, Massimiliano Borgia,

"This is the day of the ebook Hospes, a bet born in the 2014 that today presents its fifth number in the splendid setting of the Turin Readers' Club". With these words Riccardo Fava Camillo, president of HOSPES (Center for tourist-hotel studies and for the development of the Maggia Institute and its students), opened the presentation conference of the digital magazine written by a drafting of Maggia students: an editorial product that, as the slogan says, "speaks of the students of yesterday and today, of our world and of the Stresa school" (the ebook can be downloaded here: http://www.associazionehospes.it/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1).

This number has like ethics theme. "It is a fundamental concept for the current world and for today's tourism sector, dominated by the brand reputation, brand reputation, and online reviews, "he explained Renato Andreoletti, director of the Hospes ebook but also of Hotel Domani, the leading hotel magazine. "The fulcrum of this issue revolves around a question: what does it mean today to have a professional and personal ethic?" Added Andreoletti. The scene is then passed to the boys. On the stage they took place the students and students who make up the editorial staff, that have given birth to atalk show. Moderator of the dialogue was the pupil Andrea Sieno, who led the public to discover the young editor, asking questions about how this issue of the magazine was born, about the interviews and articles in it. The students have "held the stage" in a professional manner, demonstrating that they know how to speak as adults and connoisseurs of the subject. They also revealed the background of the "Good Stars", the two evenings that saw the two starred chefs Marco Sacco and Antonino Cannavacciuolo as protagonists, in homage to the celebrations of the 80 years of the Maggia that fall in the 2018.

In the audience there were students, counselors and collaborators of Hospes, teachers of the Erminio Maggia Institute of Stresa, but also many guests, including the director of the Food Journalism Festival Massimiliano Borgia e Federico Samaden, Headmaster of the Professional Hotel Institute of Rovereto and Levico Terme, as well as creator of the Ospitalia project (network of institutions and schools committed to giving value and promoting the culture of hospitality). There manager, Prof. Manuela Miglio, thanked Hospes and all its members, young and old, who "make their support felt every day", especially in this delicate period for the Maggia, who still awaits a decision on the construction of the new school.
In this regard, the solidarity of Massimiliano Borgia, director of the Food Journalism Festival has also come (the next edition will be the 21, 22 and 23 February 2019, http://www.festivalgiornalismoalimentare.it), an event with which the school collaborates: “In these years of festivals we have appreciated the great professionalism of the Maggia institute and the seriousness of the boys who have given us a great support to welcome the speakers and the public. We think that Maggia is a resource for initiatives like ours and for all of Piedmont that wants to launch its own image, that's why we sincerely hope that it can solve structural problems and work for at least other 80 years with the same educational quality that has always known to offer".

At the end of the event related to the ebook Hospes, Massimiliano Borgia presented the People of the Lake and River Association, which will celebrate its first official 7-8 October appointment on the Fishermen's Island, small pearl of Lake Maggiore. It will be two days of great food and wine, music, artists, meetings, workshops and laboratories, with freshwater fish as a protagonist (http://www.lagentedilago.com/). The objective of the movement, founded by two-Michelin-star chef Marco Sacco, is to defend and restore dignity to the complex and little-known habitat of inland waters.
