Osteria Rabezzana, Piedmontese appetizers at the Festival lunches

Osteria Rabezzana, gli antipasti piemontesi ai pranzi del Festival

A history lasting more than a century, all linked to the family whose name it bears: the Osteria Rabezzana was founded in 1911 by Luigi, great-grandfather of Franco, the current owner. At the beginning it was an emporium in via San Massimo, for the sale of its wines, produced in the Asti area, then with his grandfather Carlo the wine shop became a tavern, in Piazza Carignano, and in 1946, at the end of the war, his father Renato moves to its current location, in via San Francesco d'Assisi 23. It is up to Carlo, Franco's brother, to continue the family tradition until 2012, when he leaves the wine shop to Franco, who, as an engineer, had followed other entrepreneurial paths . In 2014, the opening of a wine bar, Enoteca Rabezzana / ER, in London and, in 2016, the restyling of the Turin restaurant, which became Osteria Rabezzana.

Its cuisine enhances the Piedmontese gastronomic tradition and the seasonality of the products used; among the dishes, authentic local specialties such as vitello tonnato, risotto al Barolo, raw meat of fassona beaten with a knife, bagna cauda and Piedmontese boiled meat. Participants in the 2022 Food Journalism Festival will be able to taste the specialties of the Osteria Rabezzana, which will prepare the lunches for the two days at the Lingotto.
