Michelin will also have green clover in Italy

Anche in Italia la Michelin avrà il trifoglio verde

For 65 years, the Michelin guide has recommended and supported travelers on the Peninsula. In 2020, in fact, the Rossa reached the prestigious milestone which confirms - if still needed - its undisputed leadership in the world of gastronomic criticism. To celebrate this important anniversary the Festival of Food Journalism, staged in Turin from 20 to 22 February, organized a meeting with Marco Do, director of communication of the Michelin Guide, invited to the speakers' table to tell the "method" which, after more than a century (the French original was published for the first time in 1900) still allows Michelin to remain at the top of the critics of catering.

“We will not have to call it a gastronomic guide - says Do - but a tourist: our goal in fact, since its origins, has been to contribute to the movement of people, making the travel experience of every tourist more pleasant. If you think that, when it first came out in Italy in 1956, there was still no "star", it is clear how the world of catering has changed in this fifty years. To better reflect the transformations of the company - continues the Director - from this year the French edition also has the green pentagram, symbolized with a clover, to reward the realities attentive to environmental sustainability in the kitchen, an aspect that increasingly becomes fundamental in the analysis and choices of consumers. Soon the clover will also arrive in all European editions, including of course the Italian one. "
