Italian cuisine possesses the requisites required by UNESCO to access the status of World Heritage Site, says Angelo Mellone, deputy director of RAI 1, in this interview on the sidelines of the sixth edition of the Food Journalism Festival.

Italy is perhaps the only place in the world where there is a profound connection between food and everything around it: millennial gastronomic culture, agricultural traditions, elements of architecture, landscape, panorama, history of the peoples who have crossed the Country that built our kitchen.

Our agriculture and our food and wine are part of the Italian beauty that constitutes a piece of our national identity.
