Discover Talent rewards the talents of the Maggia of Stresa

Discover Talent premia i talenti del Maggia di Stresa

The Discover Talent of the Erminio Maggia Institute, a partner hotel institute of the Food Journalism Festival, took place in Stresa (Vco). The Maggia is the famous "School of Stresa", the hotel management of Lake Maggiore which is also supported by its association Hospes chaired by Professor Riccardo Fava Camillo. Discover Talent was the school year end event to celebrate the 80 years since the school was founded and saw the collaboration of Jeunes restaurateur - Italy.

The principal, Manuela Miglio, has retraced the history of the Maggia since its foundation in the 1938 and by the first leadership of Professor Albano Mainardi.

Discover Talent has awarded two Jeunes restaurateur scholarships for the fifth kitchen and hall classes. The scholarship commission was composed of the president of Jre Italia Luca Marchini, the vice president Marcello Trentini and other members of the prestigious association, as well as their partners.

They won: for the kitchen Alessandro Brigatti and, for the room, Cristian Paganini.

The event also presented the Dop Tinca Gobba Dorata of Pianalto di Poirino which was the protagonist of a press tour in the last edition of the Festival. The mayor of the small town in the province of Turin explained the tradition of breeding this 'poor fish' involved in a promotion and re-launch project.

Professor Riccardo Fava Camillo illustrated the events for 80 years and the results of fund raising activities.
