Il Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP will be at the Festival to bring the story of their work and their land. In particular Pier Maria Saccani, Director of the Consortium for the Protection of Buffalo Mozzarella from Campania Dop, Friday 21 February at 9 in the London room opens the second day of the festival by speaking on the theme «Producers communicating good practices. Commitment and responsibility towards consumers ». Together with him, Silvio Borrello, of the Ministry of Health, Andrea Montagna, CEO of Bonduelle, Adolfo Valsecchi, CEO of As Do Mar, Marco De Matteis, CEO of De Matteis Agroalimentare will talk with the public. The journalist Luigi Gia moderates.

But the Consortium will also be the promoter of two interesting workshops on the recognition of the quality of the true buffalo mozzarella from Campania, workshops open to journalists and bloggers.

The Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP, established in 1981, made it possible to obtain and register the designation of origin. It represents the only body recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism for the protection, surveillance, enhancement and promotion of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP. It is the only mozzarella on the market to have obtained the European recognition of the PDO. In fact, it takes about 4 liters of buffalo milk to obtain 1 kg of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana. Where is the headquarters? Since 1 July 2016, the Protection Consortium has been based at the Royal Cavalry of the Royal Palace of Caserta, thanks to a collaboration agreement - for the first time in Italy - between cultural heritage and agri-food excellence.
