Il Crea, scientific partner of the Festival

Il CREA, the research body on agri-food supervised by the Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, will participate in the Festival on three occasions. On Thursday 20 at 15 in the Madrid room Cristina Giannetti, CREA Press Office Head, will participate in the debate: "from healthy to very thin, how does the body that communicates food change". From the housewife with an apron to the make-up of the food bloggers and the fitness bodies of the new chefs: the right physical image to be credible on recipes and food advice. Laura Rossi, coordinator of the MIPAAF CREA Waste Observatory, on Friday at 10 in the London room will speak at the meeting «From doggy bag to food bag the right to leftovers without shame». The boxes for uneaten food as a tool to educate on the fight against waste. Stefania Ruggeri CREA researcher will speak on Friday at 11 in the Madrid room on «10 years of the Mediterranean diet: from life saver to planet saver». What has changed since the Unesco recognition of the healthiest and most sustainable eating style.

CREA is the main public research body dedicated to agri-food. It is active at 360 degrees in all agri-food sectors, from seed to table, with great attention also to technological innovation as well as to the environmental and socio-economic sustainability of production. It has more than 2300 employees, of which about half are researchers and technologists, and enjoys full scientific, statutory, organizational, administrative and financial autonomy. The reorganization process is now completed which saw the old agricultural research bodies (CRA - which had already incorporated INRAN and ENSE - and INEA) merge into a single entity, capable of reference interlocutor on agri-food issues and being more competitive and integrated internationally.
