The Order of Food Technologists at the 2019 Festival

Also participating in the 2019 edition of the Food Journalism Festival the Order of Food Technologists. President Carla Brienza will be among the speakers, Thursday 21 February, at the panel "Research and medicine to communicate good food practices".

The professionalism of food technologists is becoming increasingly important for the sustainable development of the agri-food sector. Especially in the context of an innovation that is increasingly present also in the food sector. Increasingly attentive consumers in fact they impose a new awareness and an increasing attention to the productive processes, and in this new context the food technologist becomes a key professional figure.

The Food Technologist is a professional who presents technical, legislative and management skills in the agri-food sector, which is part of the various production chains to take responsibility, for example, in the management and in the control of transformation processes, in the design of new foods as well as in the analysis of the economic, socio-cultural and environmental aspects of the supply chains themselves, in order to manage the complexity of the agro-food systems.

Together with the president of the Order, the Festival will discuss how Health it also passes from the choices about food, and how essential it is to be wary of false myths and to always focus on accurate and timely information. A path that, as the supply chain specializes, goes from the work of food technologists.
