THEZooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta is the first scientific partner of the Festival.
The Zooprophylactic Institute is the provider for educational credits of the health and laboratory professions and organizes, together with the Festival, the panels that are held at the Lingotto Congress Center in Sala Londra from Thursday 20 February morning to Friday 21 February morning.
The Institute will speak on director Angelo Ferrari and the manager Lucia Decastelli.
The Izsto will be at the festival because it works on themes closely related to those of the event dedicated to food journalism. In fact, among the institutional tasks of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Piedmont, Liguria and Valle d'Aosta there is experimental research in food safety for products of animal origin, but also in animal health, hygiene of livestock and zootechnical productions and well-being animal.
At national level, the Institute participates in numerous research projects (finalized and current) funded by the Ministry of Health with the National Health Fund. Through finalized research, the Ministry intends to implement the priority, biomedical and health objectives, identified by the National Health Plan, and through current research intends to develop fundamental knowledge over time in specific sectors of biomedicine and public health. The ISZTO's policy is therefore aimed at promoting the development of research activity and enhancing its results by encouraging initiatives to improve animal health and combat food-borne diseases.
